  Online Curriculum

Eagles to the Nest is a theme-based curriculum which is made available online thanks to a grant from The Coca Cola Foundation.  This curriculum is designed to strengthen students' understanding of the complex relationships between humans, animals, and their surrounding environment. The theme-based approach allowed the complex issues of habitat loss, water quality, endangered species and environmental ethics to be more manageable. All the lessons are directed through the life experiences of Bald Eagles. As home to one of twelve nesting Bald Eagles in Indiana, Bradford Woods has a wealth of experience and knowledge to share about the bald eagle.

Eagles to the Nest utilizes two educational mediums. The first is the Internet web site designed for use in the classroom. The second is a residential environmental education program. Each educational approach of the program is designed to stand-alone and at the same time, they are designed to enhance one another. The hope is that students will gain a better understanding of their environment through the use of multiple instructional media.
