Summer Camps

     Bradford Woods hosts a variety of camp during the summer and is regarded as the best residential camping the facility in the Midwest for youth and adults with disabilities and special medical needs. Many of these summer camps are sponsored by organizations such as Riley Children’s Foundation, United Cerebral Palsy Association of Greater Indiana, and Little Red Door Cancer Agency.

Camp Riley and Venture Camps


     All Camp Riley camps are sponsored by the Riley Children’s Foundation. The Riley Children’s Foundation is based in Indianapolis and they are the fundraising arm for Riley Hospital for Children, The James Whitcomb Riley Museum Home, and Camp Riley for Youth with Physical Disabilities. Camp Riley serves youth ages 8-18 with a variety of physical disabilities. All camps are overnight and sessions either one week (6 days) or two weeks (13 days). There are six different Camp Riley sessions available throughout the summer, each with a different focus and programmed with the needs of campers in mind. Financial assistance is available. Camp Hi-Lite

     Camp Hi-Lite is sponsored by the Down Syndrome Clinic at Riley Hospital for Children, The Riley Children’s Foundation, and the Indiana Down Syndome Foundation. Camp Hi-Lite serves children and young adults, 8-22, with Down syndrome. There is one session available. Camp About Face


    Camp About Face is sponsored by the Craniofacial Clinic at Riley Hospital for Children. Camp About Face serves youth, ages 8-18, with craniofacial anomalie. Children in this camp come from all over the United States! There is one session available. Camp Independence

    Camp Independence is sponsored by the Hematology Clinic at Riley Hospital for Children as well as by the Marion County Health Department. Camp Independence serves youth, ages 8-18, with Sickle Cell Disease. This camp is also open to siblings of children with Sickle Cell Disease.  There is one session available. UCP Camp

    UCP Camp is sponsored by the United Cerebral Palsy Association of Greater Indiana, Inc. UCP camp is for adults, ages 19 and up, with Cerebral Palsy. There is one session available in early June. Camp Little Red Door


    Camp Little Red Door is sponsored by the Little Red Door Cancer Agency. Camp Little Red Door serves youth, ages 8-18, have been affected by cancer, both those who are currently receiving treatment and those who are in remission. Bringing a sibling or a friend is encouraged! There is one session available.
