"Experience is not
what happens to a
person; it is what a
person does with what happens to him."

Through purposeful use of activities and discussion,  participants develop an awareness and understanding of the programs’ intended outcomes.   These may focus on team and community development, interpersonal reflection, personal skill growth, outdoor technical skills, leadership, and therapeutic intervention. Professional, trained instructors facilitate participants through challenge experiences utilizing initiatives, challenge courses, high elements, and adventure-based activities.

Challenge education uses unique situations and purposeful activities to provide an environment for learning. Professionally trained facilitators select activities to initiate growth in individuals keeping the goals of the program in mind. The initiatives are facilitated to help transfer learning to life.

In the safe environment provided by Bradford Woods’ Adventure Education, we provide opportunities for growth in the areas of Leadership, Adventure Learning, Business Community, Consulting, and Challenge-Based Intervention programming areas. We can customize our programming to meet your needs.

Our various facilities can provide accessible accommodation for small and large groups.

Bradford Woods is among a select group of outdoor centers to receive dual accreditation by Association for Experiential Education and the American Camp Association.
